This meetup up is for an all day session of collaborating with other artists to paint a mural at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. The main purpose of this is to give back to the community by creating a safe, friendly and soothing environment for the sick patients that arrive looking for comfort at this detox facility. The hospital is very excited that we are going to donate this mural as it will significantly brighten up their environment.

The patients at this facility are both women and men being treated for substance abuse. The hospital asks that the mural have a nature theme and incorporate people and diversity. I have created a base design which you can view here:

We have permission to paint all day Saturday, from 9am until we complete it. I will set up a projector to display the mural on the wall so that it is quicker for us to paint. The more artists that come the better, this way we can paint it in one day. I will be supplying the paint and supplies. If you'd like to bring your own brushes & palettes, you are welcome too.

This is for a great cause, so I hope everyone can make it out. There will be many more mural meetups to come, I've already secured 3 other walls.
